Members help support our seniors and join the contest! We are raffling off three $200 gift cards and all of the proceeds will go towards the ten "Educators of Tomorrow" Scholarships we award to graduating seniors looking to pursue a career in education.

DEFENSIVE DRIVER
COURSE FOR MEMBERS
The SCTA is offering the NY State DMV Approved Defensive Driver Course. You and a family member can save 10% on your auto insurance each year for 3 years and it may reduce up to 4 points off your license. The course is offered via Zoom so you can take the course from the comfort of you home and cost $33 per person.
*These are two-day courses, and you must attend both days to receive credit.

SCHOLARSHIP FUND!
The SCTA is excited to announce a new initiative! This new initiative will benefit our Sachem students planning to continue their education beyond high school!
Each year the Sachem Central Teachers’ Association gives out ten “Educators of Tomorrow” Scholarships to graduating Sachem seniors who are pursuing a career in the field of education. We have decided to expand our current scholarship offerings to reach more of our students. We are excited to announce that in addition to our “Educators of Tomorrow” Scholarships, we have now created six new scholarships for students who are pursuing careers in trade or vocational schools, as well as two Community Service Awards to be granted to students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to serving our local community.
In order for us to make these scholarships a reality, we have created the SCTA Scholarship Fund. We are dedicated to creating fundraising events to provide new and fun opportunities to our members, while also supporting our fund. We have also launched our "shop local" program to offer a partnership with our local Sachem businesses. This program will gain support for our fund through business donations in exchange for advertising and efforts to help our local businesses. Additionally, when you order from our annual gear shop, a portion of your order will support our fund. When you attend future SCTA events there will be opportunities to support our scholarship fund. We hope that with the support of our community and our members, we can create a long-lasting program to benefit our future graduates.
