The SCTA is excited to announce a new initiative! This new initiative will benefit our Sachem students planning to continue their education beyond high school!

Each year the Sachem Central Teachers’ Association gives out ten “Educators of Tomorrow” Scholarships to graduating Sachem seniors who are pursuing a career in the field of education. We have decided to expand our current scholarship offerings to reach more of our students.  We are excited to announce that in addition to our “Educators of Tomorrow” Scholarships, we have now created six new scholarships for students who are pursuing careers in trade or vocational schools, as well as two Community Service Awards to be granted to students who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to serving our local community.

In order for us to make these scholarships a reality, we have created the SCTA Scholarship Fund. We are dedicated to creating fundraising events to provide new and fun opportunities to our members, while also supporting our fund. We have also launched our "shop local" program to offer a partnership with our local Sachem businesses. This program will gain support for our fund through business donations in exchange for advertising and efforts to help our local businesses. Additionally, when you order from our annual gear shop, a portion of your order will support our fund. When you attend future SCTA events there will be opportunities to support our scholarship fund. We hope that with the support of our community and our members, we can create a long-lasting program to benefit our future graduates.
